Business Fortune Salesforce Boosts India’s Digital Rise

According to a recent third-party study addendum from the International Data Corporation (IDC), Salesforce and its network of Indian partners will generate 1,328,200 jobs among Salesforce customers by 2026, comprising 569,800 direct jobs and 758,400 indirect jobs. Salesforce is the leader in CRM worldwide.

Cloud Adoption's Growing Economic Impact in India

Based on the idea that cloud computing frees up IT resources from repetitive chores so they can support business innovation, IDC has been projecting the financial benefits of cloud computing for more than ten years.

Economic benefits are also being driven by the growth of cloud software in India. IDC projects that demand for cloud services will increase from $2.6 billion in 2020 to $8.5 billion in 2026, a 22% increase.

The local economy will see a net $66.4 billion in new business revenue over that time due to Salesforce clients' adoption of cloud computing. By 2026, Salesforce's partner ecosystem in India will generate $6.55 for every $1 Salesforce generates locally, according to the report.

Salesforce Training to Equip India's Workforce with Advanced Digital Skills

Advanced digital skills, including the usage of automation tools, the Internet of Things (IoT), and other sophisticated applications, are required for 24% of new jobs generated in India's Salesforce client base this year. Users can acquire digital skills for the growing Salesforce economy through Trailhead, Salesforce's free online learning platform, and its Trailblazer Community, which speeds up learning through peer-to-peer knowledge sharing and support.

Creating job-ready candidates

To assist in generating future roles and fill them with qualified candidates, Salesforce has implemented several initiatives and programs:

The Trailblazer Community is a global network of millions of people who help people learn new skills and succeed with Salesforce. The Trailblazer Community provides an online platform for networking from any place, in addition to more than 1,300 active regional and interest-based organizations worldwide. As they grow their businesses and professions with Salesforce, members support one another and share their expertise. According to a poll, three out of five Trailblazers credit their participation in the Trailblazer Community for helping them get a new job or promotion.

Nearly 3.5 million people worldwide have benefited from Trailhead's ability to teach in-demand skills for the future of work. With Trailhead, students can improve their skills from anywhere for free. Users can obtain globally recognized credentials to advance in their positions within the Salesforce ecosystem. Trailhead is introducing three new roles – Marketer, Sales, and Designer – to provide entry points into some of the sectors that are currently growing at the fastest rates, in addition to providing guided career paths for Salesforce professionals.

The Salesforce Talent Alliance is an initiative that links Salesforce partner companies with job candidates trained on Salesforce through Trailhead, thereby bringing new and diverse talent into the quickly growing ecosystem.

The Salesforce Economy

According to IDC, the effect of Salesforce and its partner ecosystem on the economy as a whole is known as the Salesforce Economy. In addition to employment created indirectly in the economy by local spending by direct employees and Salesforce and its partners themselves, this also includes the income and jobs directly generated in the Salesforce customer base from the use of Salesforce and its partners' cloud services.

The Salesforce Economy's explosive growth is fueled by Salesforce's diverse partner ecosystem:

  • Customers may grow more quickly with the support of the Salesforce partner network. Throughout a customer's journey, partners fill in technological gaps and provide solutions across products, industries, and geographical areas. Consulting partners, independent software vendors (ISVs), and resellers are part of the Salesforce partner ecosystem, which offers the expertise and power of apps to address any customer issues.

  • With over 6,700 partner listings and over 9 million installs since its launch in 2006, Salesforce AppExchange is the top enterprise cloud marketplace globally.

"The idea of collaboration and community really does go back to the growth in the Salesforce Economy," said Arundhati Bhattacharya, Chairperson & CEO, Salesforce India. We are dedicated to giving our growing partner ecosystem the resources it needs to thrive in the occupations of the future. The Salesforce partner ecosystem is essential to extending the potential of Salesforce to businesses of all sizes, across sectors. For Salesforce, it's not only about developing new technology and employment opportunities; we also need to establish routes to these new positions. Our goal is to enable people to use Salesforce to create vibrant jobs, businesses, and communities so they may prosper in a world that prioritizes digital technology.

Empowering India’s Digital Future through Salesforce

Salesforce's growing presence in India is speeding workforce transformation and economic growth thanks to its strong partner ecosystem, Trailhead learning platform, and community-driven networks. Salesforce is not only creating a large number of jobs but also making it easier for millions of people to develop future-ready careers as cloud adoption increases and the need for sophisticated digital skills grows. Salesforce's influence goes well beyond technology adoption, with IDC predicting billions in additional company revenue and over a million jobs linked to the Salesforce economy by 2026. It is creating a vibrant digital ecosystem where companies innovate more quickly, communities get stronger, and people acquire the skills necessary to succeed in a quickly changing digital world.
