Eldridge Industries, Aurify Brands, and Consortium Brand Partners acquire California Pizza Kitchen for $300 million, with Convive Brands leading operations.
Eldridge Industries, Aurify Brands, Convive Brands and a group of investors led by Consortium Brand Partners (CBP), a consumer brand investment platform, announced that they have reached a final agreement to acquire the casual dining chain California Pizza Kitchen (CPK).
The estimated value of the acquisition is 300 million dollars. Worldwide operations will be led by Convive Brands, an investment and operations platform for luxury restaurant concepts, which will also serve as the master franchisor for all CPK restaurants worldwide.
CBP states that this partnership will expand on CPK's recent achievements, including a rise in sales at the same store in 2025. Also, CBP added that they hope to accomplish this by expanding the brand into new product categories, expanding its visibility in restaurants and retail through smart efforts and expediting the growth of both domestic and international franchises.
Founded in Beverly Hills in 1985, California Pizza Kitchen has made a name for itself as a leader in casual dining. Since its founding, CPK has offered an exclusive Californian approach to pastas, pizzas and desserts.
According to CBP, the brand became popular after testing a novel pizza vending machine concept that served freshly baked, triple-heated CPK pizzas at entertainment venues, campuses and airports.
California Pizza Kitchen is a brand with an incredible history and an even brighter future, said Jon Weber, CEO of Convive Brands. As they strive to fulfill its extraordinary potential, their priorities continue to be respecting CPK's heritage, allowing the teams that push its daily success and inviting the upcoming generation of visitors to adore the cuisine and hospitality that will continue to make it unique.
By entering the food, beverage and hotel industries, CBP has broadened its portfolio. Following major investments in consumer brands that describe categories, such as Outdoor Voices, Draper James and Jonathan Adler; this is CBP's fourth acquisition.
