Enabling Leadership Global Ambassador Program

The Enabling Leadership Global Ambassador Program (ELGAP) was introduced on Tuesday by Enabling Leadership, a global non-profit organization whose goal is to instill critical leadership and life skills in kids from low-resource homes.

This 10-month program, which involves fundraising, mentoring, and digital outreach activities, is part of the Youth Leadership Development project for high school students. It emphasizes service as a potent means of developing critical 21st-century leadership abilities.

High school students (grades 9–12) who want to be future leaders and are able to handle challenging situations, cultivate genuine creativity, and thrive in a variety of settings are welcome to apply to ELGAP. In addition to mastering economic innovation and improving their college applications, participants will acquire priceless leadership skills. Through their digital outreach activities, they will also have the chance to become LinkedIn Top Voices and receive certification as EL Ambassadors.

The activities in ELGAP are designed to assist students with managing variety, making decisions in the face of uncertainty, innovating on a budget, and setting an example for others. As a result of technology improvements and an increasingly global workforce, participants will gain empathy, resilience, effective communication, and problem-solving abilities that will enable them to flourish in a dynamic and rapidly evolving work environment.

Students who join ELGAP also join a global network of people who have a shared goal, creating lifelong relationships for both professional and personal development. Over the course of the program, they will provide 40 hours of service, which will be split into three main categories: digital outreach (10 hours), fundraising (10 hours), and skill-based mentoring (20 hours).

Participants in the program can select from three verticals: music, LEGO, and football (soccer) based on their interests and ability levels. Every participant will serve as a mentor to ten underprivileged children, assisting them in developing their abilities and competing successfully. On August 5, 2024, the first cohort of ELGAP will begin.
