NSLC Partners with IEEE STEM

National Student Leadership Conference and IEEE partner to advance engineering & technology education for high school students.

The National Student Leadership Conference (NSLC) has announced a new partnership with IEEE, the world's largest technical professional organization dedicated to advancing technology for humanity.

NSLC and IEEE's TryEngineering Summer Institute will line up their educational frameworks together. Beginning in summer 2026, students enrolled in NSLC's Aerospace, Artificial Intelligence, Biotechnology, Cybersecurity, and Engineering programs will benefit from IEEE's global expertise in STEM education and curriculum design.

Being a leading provider of immersive pre-college experiences that empower middle and high school students to explore academic and career pathways, NSLC plans to strengthen and enhance its long-standing engineering and technology programs

Programs will take place on the campuses of nine universities across the U.S. and U.K. Through interactive workshops held at some of the most esteemed colleges, NSLC has assisted students in testing out their futures since 1989 where students participate in practical instruction in a variety of subject areas and get real-world college experiences that help them get ready for the future.

Executive Director of the National Student Leadership Conference, Kristina Duffy Hochman has shared that they are excited to expand NSLC's STEM offerings through this exciting partnership with IEEE. And by joining the expertise and global leadership of IEEE, they are uplifting their programs to be truly best-in-class. This collaboration ensures that the students who are eager to explore fields like AI, cybersecurity, and aerospace will gain immersive, real-world experiences shaped by the foremost authority in engineering and technology.

Jamie Moesch, IEEE Educational Activities Managing Director has said that their partnership with NSLC represents a powerful opportunity to inspire and prepare the next generation of engineers and technologists. By combining IEEE's technical expertise with NSLC's experiential learning model, they are creating pathways for high school students to engage with advanced fields, cultivating the broad talent pipeline that many industries will need to tackle humanity's greatest challenges.

Students participate in hands-on laboratories and technical workshops that apply engineering ideas to real-world problems. Each course combines leadership development and teamwork to prepare students for success in college and beyond.
