At MWC 2026, China Telecom received recognition for showcasing AI-powered 5G innovations, drone connectivity solutions, and digital education initiatives.

China Telecom showcased its growing role in next-generation connectivity and AI-based telecommunications as it wrapped up its participation at the 2026 Mobile World Congress (MWC) with an impressive display of mobile technology innovations.

Hosted in Barcelona, from March 2 to 5 2026, this event provided a forum for other leading companies in the Mobile Communications industry to showcase new technologies that form the basis of future digital connectivity. China Telecom took advantage of this venue to demonstrate innovative solutions for intelligent connections, enhanced mobile networks, and new digital services.

Within its display at the event, China Telecom provided an immersive experience to showcase its strategic transformation in the Mobile and AI era. Additionally, two keynote presentations by industry leaders during this time captured trends across AI-enabled services provided by cloud-integration into 5G and enhancements provided to consumers and business through intelligent applications.

With the incorporation of AI into the operation of mobile networks and services, a focal point of China Telecom's exhibit was the inclusion of AI across its infrastructure and a focus on enhancing network effectiveness, enhanced resource allocation efficiency, and accelerating the deployment of intelligent communication platforms.

China Telecom also hosted the "low-altitude economy" launch event where they showcased their mobile connectivity solutions for drone operations, aerial logistics and growing businesses that rely on advanced mobile networks. With the program being a reflection of the company's efforts to bring mobile connectivity capability into different industries and applications.

In addition to the technological displays, China Telecom was recognized during the GLOMO awards for their work, with the Qingjiao Plan for providing digital learning solutions and teacher training using 5G connectivity to rural communities winning the award for Best Mobile Innovation to Enhance Children's and Young People's Lives this year together with Huawei.

At the event, China Telecom reiterated their commitment to be the leader in creating the mobile ecosystem as the telecommunications industry is moving toward more intelligent and connected networks, while also conveying their focus on Artificial Intelligence-based mobility solutions, advanced 5G solutions, and the numerous potential applications within the various industries.
