Youth outreach across the country

Speaking about the same, Sports minister Mansukh Mandaviya said that it will give an "unprecedented opportunity for direct connect with the young people, while also getting an opportunity to interact with the policy makers.”

The minister said that the event will witness the "involvement of more than 1500 centres across the country including the IITs, IIMs, NITs, AIIMS and other premier institutes.”

"It will offer a unique opportunity to have a direct connect with the youth who will be interacting with the policy makers. Youth can voice out their views, experiences and ideas for the country, including sports and other sectors," he added.

The programme will begin with MY Bharat volunteers wishing the young Indians and showcasing a video on the developments in sporting landscape in the last decade.

The athletes will also be interacting with sports persons including the Olympic medalists and legends like PT Usha, Manika Batra, Saina Nehwal, Mary Kom, Mirabai Chanu, Neeraj Chopra, Gagan Narang and Pullela Gopichand.

"The young participants will get a chance to hear their thoughts on their own journeys and challenges, failures, victories and sporting achievements," said Mandaviya. He further said that the message will also focus on conveying that "a champion's journey always begins with a small field and the first step."

Focus on youth and India's sporting future

Physical activities will follow the Prime Minister's address at various centres across the country. In addition to that, Mandaviya also plans to visit IIT Delhi, while members of the Parliament and Ministers also interact with the youth.
