UR and MiR present AI-powered mobile robotics and next-generation automation solutions at Automate 2025.
During May 12–15 in Detroit, Universal Robots (UR) and Mobile Industrial Robots (MiR) will share the largest exhibition space at Automate 2025 at joint booths #4023 and #3623, showcasing their shared dedication to providing customers with greater productivity through a variety of automation applications.
Within the Automotive zone, a manufacturing flow that operates on the same type of automotive workpiece for several applications would be suitable. While Objective Design will show the dispensing applications, AI Automation will use new, safe-from-explosion (ATEX-certified) UR cobot to illustrate the painting procedures. 3D Infotech will demonstrate a quality inspection method that emphasizes improved perception capabilities by inspecting the item that Mission Design assembled using a UR cobot and the new UR AI Accelerator toolset.
The electronics sector zone will showcase Flexible Robotics for cobot-assisted soldering, as well as an application of UR's new OptiMove control of motion algorithm, which dynamically improves acceleration and speed under hardware constraints to provide more seamless movements, vibrations, and longer cycle times.
Although UR cobots are the main focus of the AI Accelerator, MiR, another Teradyne firm showcased at GTC, also benefits from the underlying AI and accelerated processing technologies. The 3D vision and NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin module are used by the MiR1200 Pallet Jack to precisely identify, take, and transport pallets in hard-to-reach locations.
The Material Handling and Logistics Zone will be put together to showcase UR and MiR joint capabilities in providing fully integrated autonomous-intralogistics solutions, leveraging NVIDIA accelerated computing libraries and now more AI-powered.
