A new AI-powered tool that can take notes automatically during meetings has been added to Google Meet.

The paper will be stored on the meeting owner's Google Drive account and accessible to all attendees of the internal meeting. If you come to the meeting after it has started, there is a "summary so far" option that lets you catch up.

A link to the recap will be sent via email to the meeting organizer and the individual who enabled the option after the meeting.

Meetings could become more effective and productive with this new feature. Automating the note-taking process allows attendees to concentrate on the conversation and working together. Additionally, it guarantees that crucial data is recorded and accessible at a later time.

Meetings must be held in spoken English, and at launch, "take notes for me" will only be accessible when utilizing Google Meet on a PC or laptop. In the future, Google is probably going to add more functionality to this feature.

Besides the automated note-taking feature, "take notes for me" has several additional advantages. For instance, the meeting transcripts and recordings will link within the notes document if you enable them. This facilitates finding specific information and reviewing the meeting at a later time.
