NVIDIA has introduced various services, models, and computing platforms to help speed up the global development of humanoid robots.
The startup provides resources to help software developers, robot manufacturers, and AI model builders create advanced humanoid robotics.
The new NVIDIA NIM microservices and robot simulation and learning frameworks are at the core of NVIDIA's product line. NVIDIA AI robotics inference software can make deploying pre-built containers much faster, cutting deployment time from weeks to minutes.
MimicGen and Robocasa, two new AI microservices, will improve generative physical AI simulation workflows in NVIDIA Isaac Sim, a robotics simulation program based on the NVIDIA Omniverse platform.
Robotics, according to NVIDIA CEO and creator Jensen Huang, is the next frontier of artificial intelligence, with humanoid robots being one of the most fascinating applications. He continued by saying that they were expanding the capabilities of the complete NVIDIA humanoid robotics stack, allowing corporations and humanoid developers throughout the world to use the platforms, acceleration libraries, and AI models that best fit their requirements.
OSMO, a cloud-native managed service that coordinates and scales intricate robotics development workflows, is another essential part of NVIDIA's portfolio. Robot training and simulation operations are greatly streamlined by OSMO, potentially cutting down on development cycle durations from months to less than a week.
In order to tackle the difficulty of gathering the enormous volumes of data needed for training humanoid robots, NVIDIA has unveiled a reference workflow for teleoperation that is enabled by AI and the Omniverse. With the help of this cutting-edge technique, researchers and AI developers can produce synthetic motion and perception data based on a small number of remotely recorded human demonstrations, possibly saving time and money.
