BusinessFortune - Infosys, Wipro, LTIMindtree Beat Estimates with AI

Indian IT firms are increasing AI demand, increasing revenue, and increasing automation and enterprise adoption across global industries.

Indian IT firms Infosys, Wipro, and LTIMindtree reported higher-than-expected quarterly revenue on Thursday, indicating that as more clients are prepared to finance AI projects, demand is expected to increase in the second half of the year. Tata Consultancy Services' previous week is encouraging for the $283 billion company, which has struggled in the current quarter as clients have reduced discretionary spending due to uncertainties surrounding tariffs; their positive results come after the market leader.

Technology and the use of AI for improving productivity are powered by consolidation. Salil Parekh, the CEO of Infosys, stated that this is the main emphasis they observe from their clients across industries. Parekh also stated that there was a major opportunity in the corporate AI space. As a result of the increased interest in AI, many companies are considering investing in projects that utilize the technology to improve productivity and automate tasks, which is opening up a major source of income for Indian IT companies.

Infosys, previous view of 1-3%.  This exceeded analyst profit and revenue projections in the second quarter and anticipates revenue growth of 2-3% for the entire year. According to Srini Pallia, CEO of Wipro, clients want to use AI and agentic AI in industry processes and workflows rather than just proof of concepts.

According to Jefferies analysts, the projection was achievable due to the company's strong transaction bookings.  Smaller peer Wipro, which expects a 0.5% decline in sales and a 1.5% growth for the third quarter, is also benefiting from clients' growing interest in AI projects. This highlights that the IT firms are gradually regaining energy as client needs change toward AI and digital acceleration.
