ERG marks World Safety Day with new “Saq Bol” campaign, high- visibility gear, yellow helmets, and 3D equipment tools to boost site safety.
Multinational mining and metals firm ERG unveiled several cutting-edge site-safety programs, including the historically inspired "Saq Bol" campaign, bright yellow helmets, high-visibility clothing, and 3D equipment visualization, which is QR-enabled 3D.
The initiatives help the Group reach its objective of zero damage throughout its activities, which is especially important given today's United Nations World Day for Safety and Health at Work. Additionally, these steps are part of ERG's larger Safe Workplace 2025 effort.
The Saq Bol "Be attentive" campaign uses pictures of the historical Saka, who were fighters and early metalworkers who walked over Central Asia in the first millennium BC, to spread seven life-saving guidelines throughout ERG Kazakhstan's production facilities. Employees receive monthly briefings, posters, and on-the-job training that links each regulation to modern practices like lock-out/tag-out and underground speed limits.
Yellow helmets should now be worn by workers with less than a year's experience, allowing crew members and managers to quickly determine experience levels. Three authorized helmet kinds are being provided for miners, electrical teams, and general laborers in order to guarantee precise task assignment and mentoring.
Over 5,000 orange, high-visibility uniforms are replacing the Group's iconic grey gear at Donskoy GOK, its flagship chromite mine and processing complex. As a trial project, the new suits lower the risk of accidents throughout shifts by improving underground sight for miners and any staff members who must access the mines.
