Pokemon Scarlet and Violet reveal information suggesting Terapagos is more powerful than Arceus

Terapagos, the mascot of The Indigo Disk DLC, is rumored to be more powerful than Arceus by a reputable Pokémon Scarlet and Violet insider.

Fans of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet surmised that Terapagos would be the more formidable of the two in combat after the insider asked a question on social media regarding the base stat totals of Arceus and Terapagos.

Although Terapagos is still unreleased, Arceus has a long history of being regarded as a legendary Pokemon with god-like abilities, ever since it made its debut in Pokemon Diamond and Pearl. Its stats and capacity to pick up a lot of moves are to blame for this. With 120 equally spaced stat points per stat point, Arceus's base stat total is 720.

This makes Arceus by far the strongest Pokemon, excluding special forms granted by combat novelties like Mega Evolution and Tera forms. However, after reading a recent message from a trustworthy source, Pokemon trainers are presented with something new to think about.

Pokemon expert Riddler Khu posted images of Arceus and Terapagos almost a month before The Indigo Disk's release. He questioned which of the two legendary Pokemon would have a higher base stat total (BST).

The base stat total claimed for Terapagos was questioned by some Pokémon fans as to whether it applied to the monster in its base form as well or just to Terapagos in its new Tera form. Given that Ogerpon from The Teal Mask was able to assume a unique form while Terastallized, it makes sense that Terapagos could accomplish something like, if not more, in combat.
