EIC welcomed Dr.Stoner as xLDES commercialization approaches
Energy Internet Corporation is pleased to announce the appointment of MIT physicist Dr. Robert Stoner to its respected board of expert advisers, with the goal of accelerating the commercialization of its extra-long-duration energy storage (xLDES) technology. Dr. Stoner, the temporary director of the MIT Energy Initiative (MITEI) and the founding director of the MIT Tata Center for Technology and Design, has extensive knowledge and experience in energy technology and policy, particularly in developing economies. He has held top positions with the Clinton Foundation, including CEO of the Clinton Development Initiative. Dr. Stoner has a track record of innovation in computational and ultrafast optical measurement techniques, and he has led successful enterprises in the semiconductor, information technology, and optical industries.
Additionally, he lends his expertise to various organizations, including chairing the External Advisory Committee of EniNext and serving on the International Advisory Committee of Rio Tinto and the Science and Technology Committee of the Alliance for Sustainable Energy, which oversees the U.S. National Renewable Energy Laboratory. Dr. Stoner joins a distinguished group of PhD advisors from leading global institutions, collaborating to provide technical and commercial insights to Energy Internet Corporation, alongside subject matter experts from the US national laboratory network. Mark Weathers, Senior Vice President of Operations, underscores the importance of assembling a world-class team to address the critical need for long-duration energy storage in the transition to a zero-carbon future.
