SK AX and SAP will work together to change how companies use enterprise resource planning (ERP), they signed a memorandum of understanding to cooperate on SAP’s Autonomous Suite and Business AI. The partnership aims to bring AI agents deeper into everyday corporate operations, from finance and ERP management to business decision-making.

SK AX CEO Kim Wan-jong met SAP CEO Christian Klein at SAP’s headquarters in Walldorf, Germany, where the two discussed plans for the partnership. The companies will combine SAP’s enterprise software and AI capabilities with SK AX’s AI transition expertise and XgenticWire ERP Suite. The goal is to automate repetitive work, improve business processes and help employees make faster decisions.

“Based on this strategic partnership with SAP, SK AX and SK Group will first create leading AI-native enterprise success stories and spread them to domestic and global markets,” Kim said.

What Will AI Actually Do Inside ERP?

SK AX’s XgenticWire ERP Suite is designed to bring AI into different stages of ERP operations. Its MyFinance feature can automate financial tasks and identify unusual activity. EAR Ops supports ERP operations, while EAR Studio uses AI for ERP design, development, and testing. The company is also combining these tools with Forward Deployed Engineers and AIDE, an AI-based ERP consulting service. This approach is intended to help businesses apply AI to their existing systems rather than simply adding another chatbot or assistant.

SAP Could Give SK AX a Global Route

The partnership also has an important commercial side. SK AX plans to list XgenticWire ERP Suite on SAP’s AI Agent Hub, making the offering available to corporate customers around the world.

SK AX will also participate in SAP’s Early Adopter Care program. Through the program, it can use selected SAP technologies before their official release and provide feedback based on real-world applications.
