Amazon Web Services has launched Connect Decisions, an AI-powered solution designed to simplify supply chain planning and to enhance supply chain capabilities.
Amazon Web Services has introduced Amazon Connect Decisions, an agentic AI solution built to enhance supply chain planning and to strengthen supply chain capabilities through automation. The launch marks the next evolution of the cloud-based AWS Supply Chain platform first released in 2022.
Amazon Connect itself is a suite of four specialized agentic AI solutions, each designed to address a distinct business challenge. Alongside Connect Decisions, the expanded portfolio includes Amazon Connect Talent, Amazon Connect Customer, and Amazon Connect Health. At the core of Connect Decisions is a network of more than 25 supply chain capabilities, unified into AI-driven agents referred to as “teammates.” These agents handle complex calculations, support decision-making, simplify operations and improve supply chain efficiency.
According to Ozgur Dogan, VP of AWS Supply Chain, the system learns from ongoing usage, allowing organizations to standardize decisions and scale business goals across teams without changing how they operate. Instead, it adapts to existing workflows and accelerates decision-making.
The platform integrates data from multiple systems into a centralized hub, continuously building intelligence over time. It can connect with existing enterprise tools, such as ERP systems, enabling AI teammates to identify root causes of issues and recommend practical solutions.
Connect Decisions also features both a visual and chat-based interface. Users can directly query the system through chat to get specific insights from their data, while automatically generated visual charts support supply chain planners in making more accurate forecasting decisions.
A key component behind the system is Amazon’s Supply Chain Optimization Technology, known as SCOT. As explained by Abhishek Gupta, Director of Forecasting and Labs at SCOT, this framework combines machine learning and optimization models to generate predictions, recommendations, and day-to-day operational decisions.
These new Connect solutions are backed by Amazon’s extensive experience in deploying AI across its own operations, where it manages a supply chain that spans more than 400 million SKUs. Ultimately, as Business Fortune observes Connect Decisions reflects Amazon’s push to turn AI-driven decision-making into a core advantage for modern supply chains.
