Mavenir announced partnership with Red Hat to deliver on‑premise conversational and agentic AI service assurance offerings for operators.
Mavenir, a software company that builds AI-by-design mobile networks, today announced a partnership with Red Hat to use Red Hat AI to provide Conversational AI and Agentic AI service assurance solutions. Red Hat OpenShift AI, which runs on-premise, powers Gen AI solutions, giving telecom service providers a highly scalable, secure, strong, and cost-effective basis for network operations.
This collaboration aims to improve the telecommunications industry by offering service providers with AI solutions that leverage their existing platform investments while adding security, resilience, and low latency, which is crucial for real-time network operations.
Sachin Karkala, EVP & General Manager, IMS & RAN of Mavenir, stated that in the race to monetize AI and evolve to autonomous networks, service providers need control of the user experience, cost and data privacy. He added that the collaboration with Red Hat allows them to develop on-premise AI solutions and generative AI models can be fine-tuned using service provider data to build specialized, on-premise agents helping deliver optimal performance.
Through this partnership, Mavenir offers AI solutions specifically designed for the telecom sector that are more affordable and secure than hosted as-a-service AI alternatives. Through conversational AI, the industry is progressing up the value chain from just assisting connectivity between entities to AI agents assuming crucial control over the communication's content and intent.
Dell's OTEL AI experts collaborates with the Red Hat and Mavenir engineering teams to optimize the solution's effective use of the underlying infrastructure and fine-tune the big language model as a step toward deployment readiness. Service providers may maximize the effectiveness of their GPU resources, keep complete control over security and governance requirements, and more readily handle the difficult AI lifecycle by implementing these solutions on-premise with Red Hat OpenShift AI.
