IBM launches Enterprise Advantage to help global enterprises scale agentic AI across operations faster using existing systems, cloud platforms, and proven governance frameworks.
IBM recently launches Enterprise Advantage, a new artificial intelligence-based consulting service designed to help large organizations in scaling agentic AI across their operations and moving past early trials. The service, which was introduced on January 19, 2026, helps organizations create and run their internal AI platforms at enterprise scale by combining IBM's consulting experience with tested AI technologies, reusable assets, and governance frameworks.
With Enterprise Advantage, businesses can incorporate agentic AI into their present processes and systems without having to completely redesign their infrastructure. It works with both proprietary and open-source AI models and supports popular cloud environments like Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure and IBM's Watsonx platform. IBM claims that the solution speeds up implementation while lowering risk and expense through using companies' current technological investments.
In essence, the service combines technologies developed by IBM's own AI delivery platform, Consulting Advantage, with the extensive industry expertise of IBM consultants. Over 150 client engagements have made use of that internal technology, which has apparently increased consultant productivity in numerous instances. Clients can obtain industry-specific AI agents and applications through Enterprise Advantage with the goal of reducing deployment times and facilitating quicker real-world outcomes.
IBM highlighted the potential of the service by highlighting early client examples. While other manufacturers have used Enterprise Advantage to identify high-value use cases, prototype solutions and align leadership around scalable strategies, Pearson, a global lifelong learning company, is using the service to develop a custom AI platform that combines human expertise with automated agents to manage workflows and decisions.
According to Mohamad Ali, Senior Vice President and Head of IBM Consulting, many businesses find it difficult to get significant value from AI at scale and IBM's new offering provides a tested foundation to enable clients to confidently accelerate their AI journeys. Companies looking to further integrate agentic AI into their business models can now take advantage of Enterprise Advantage.
