Laguna Beach Winter Fantasy Festival Arranges a Holiday Celebration of Art, Music, and Community

Local art and holiday activities come together, turning the festival into a lively market that supports artists and the community.

This weekend Laguna Beach arranged the Winter Fantasy festival which turned the Sawdust Art Festival grounds into a holiday village with handcrafted gifts and live entertainment and seasonal festivities. The event was created for visitors who want to help native artists.

The Winter Fantasy celebrates its 35th year this year according to the festival. Over 180 artists feature their work of art which collections from handcrafted ornaments and ceramics to paintings, taking pictures and other original works. The event's organizers classify it as a holiday tradition where visitors can explore their tracks and find creative gifts and surprises around every corner.

The festival runs every day over 5 three-day weekends on Fridays to Sundays from Nov 21 to Dec 21 from morning 11 to evening 7. Free drawing classes live demonstrations and artist booth exploration are all available to visitors. Three stages of live music are used for daily entertainment and roaming artists offer acoustic performances, magic shows and balloon artwork. There are food choices all across the grounds as well as the Sawdust Saloon which serves wine and beer along with regional dishes.

The cost for single day ticket admission is 12 dollars for adult 10 dollars for seniors 65 and 5 dollars for children ages 6 to 12 and the tickets can be purchased online or at the box office. For those visitors who anticipate attending on multiple days a Winter Season Pass can be purchased for 29 dollars which allow access to any festival day until December 21 as long as a valid ID is presented.

Every purchase according to the organizers supports Laguna Beach artists and serves to support the community's creative economy all year long. As stated in the event description visitors can meet dozens of independent artists in person and bring home a memorable experience.
