HPU Shimla conducted five-day mobile security boot camp teaches 100+ students with hands-on training in cybersecurity and rising technologies.
At the University Institute of Technology, Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla, a five-day boot camp on mobile device security teaches over 100 students and research scholars from various organizations about cybersecurity. The university conducted the camp's opening ceremony.
Under the Information Security Education and Awareness (ISEA) Project, which is sustained by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India, the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, UIT-HPU, and the Center for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), Mohali, work together to organize the event. The chief guest was Prof. AJ Singh, Director, UIT, HPU Shimla, and the guest of honor was Harpreet Bawa, Project Manager, C-DAC Mohali, and Project Coordinator, ISEA.
Dr. Anjali Sharma, an assistant professor, greeted all those present, specialists, and public figures. Dr. Neetu Dhiman, the coordinator of the boot camp, stated that this program aims to provide students and scholars with knowledge and hands-on experience in mobile security, highlighting the increasing importance of 5G, AI, and IoT.
Sumera Farooq, Akshay Kumar, and Shilpa Chandel of the C-DAC Mohali team of specialists were honored for their contributions by program coordinators Dr. Shyam Chand and Dr. Neeru Sharma, director of the department of electronics and communication engineering.
Twelve professional sessions covering several topics, like security in IoT-based mobile environments, privacy and legality in the mobile industry, the role of AI in mobile device security, new mobile issues, and Sybil attacks in ad hoc networks, will be presented by important lecturers from HPU, SPU, NITs, and C-DAC Mohali. In addition to lectures, attendees will get hands-on experience with modern technologies, techniques, and usages in mobile and network security through sessions tutored by C-DAC specialists.
