ECU Worldwide teams up with IBM, TCS, and AWS to launch iTopaz, an AI-powered cloud platform that will replace its legacy ERP by 2027.
ECU Worldwide, a leading LCL freight consolidator, is set to introduce iTopaz, an AI-driven, cloud-based digital platform for global supply chains, developed in collaboration with IBM, TCS, and AWS. The platform is designed to replace the company's outdated ERP system. ECL Worldwide is a fully-owned subsidiary of Allcargo Logistics.
The LCL freight specialist is collaborating with AWS to adopt an open-source infrastructure, working with TCS to support its existing ERP system, and leveraging IBM Consulting’s expertise for cloud migration solutions. By 2027, the whole iTopaz rollout will be finished.
ECU Worldwide will replace its desktop-based, ten-year-old Topaz ERP system with iTopaz, a secure, cloud-enabled platform supported by open-source databases and built on a web-based architecture, as part of the second phase of its digital transformation. Its foundation is a containerized environment and three-tier design, which enables independence from platforms and promotes an interconnected and effective digital platform.
According to ECU Worldwide's managing director, Adarsh Hegde, the company has started a digital transformation process to provide freight-forwarding services that are rapid, agile, and customized. The worldwide rollout of iTopaz marks a critical turning point in the ongoing IT transformation process, which will integrate cloud computing and cutting-edge data-driven technologies to significantly improve their network's scalability, flexibility, and efficiency.
