BigCommerce names Anil Kamath, former Adobe VP and AI expert, to its board as part of its strategy to drive innovation, expand into B2B, and strengthen profitability.
BigCommerce, a digital marketplace provider with a market capitalization of $407 million with outstanding 77% gross profit margins, said on Tuesday that Anil Kamath, a former Adobe Fellow and vice president, has been appointed to its board of directors. InvestingPro's analysis shows the stock is trading at $5.08, with analysts projecting potential upside toward their target price estimates.
Having led data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence projects at Adobe Experience Cloud for 13 years, Kamath joins the e-commerce platform provider as it looks to improve its technological prowess. According to InvestingPro statistics, the company is now moving toward profitability and has solid liquidity, as seen by its current ratio of 2.34. Analysts anticipate positive earnings this year. Kamath was in charge of creating data science-driven approaches to client engagement and acquisition during his time at Adobe.
Additionally, he spearheaded the enterprise marketing generative AI revolution that produced Gen Studio for Performance Marketing. Before Adobe purchased Efficient Frontier, Kamath founded the digital ad buying platform that oversaw more than $2 billion in advertising expenditures. Later on, he was in charge of integrating Efficient Frontier with Adobe Marketing Cloud.
