Brazil's Innovative Tech Leap: USP and FAPESP to Shine at VivaTech 2025

USP and FAPESP showcase Brazil's global role in science, sustainability, and startup growth at VivaTech 2025 with their innovative debuts.

The São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) and the University of São Paulo (USP) will exhibit disruptive technologies created by their researchers in the fields of artificial intelligence, mobility, climate, energy, health, agriculture, sustainability, and energy at the VivaTech International Fair, one of Europe's premier technology and startup events, from June 11 to 14.

In 2025, VivaTech will concentrate on investigating new technological frontiers from an economic, geopolitical, social, and environmental perspective. Over 165,000 people attended the event last year.

In order to showcase Brazil's proficiency in advanced science and innovation as well as in providing highly effective applied solutions to today's global challenges, USP and FAPESP will present a 100-square-meter booth during the four-day event. In addition to increasing the global visibility of their research and products, this will provide researchers and startups with the opportunity to develop strategic partnerships and attract new investors.

In the USP and FAPESP zone, topical sessions will be led by professors and startups and will feature interactive technology demonstrations for the public and investors, virtual reality experiences, and exhibits of prototypes and models. There will also be a pitch competition for startups.

Furthermore, a special session including State Secretary of Science, Technology, and Innovation Vahan Agopyan, USP Rector Carlos Gilberto Carlotti Junior, and FAPESP Executive Director Carlos Américo Pacheco will showcase São Paulo's innovation strategy. Professors from USP will talk at another session called "Science and Innovation for a Sustainable Future."
