GM UK Unveils Sleek Concept Car with Bold Corvette Styling

With the formal launch of a new, cutting-edge design studio in Royal Leamington Spa, around 20 miles from Birmingham, General Motors has increased the size of its worldwide design studio footprint.

As part of a worldwide design initiative spanning many studios, GM unveiled an advanced design study Chevrolet Corvette concept car in conjunction with the opening. More Corvette ideas will be unveiled throughout 2025. Additionally, a preview of a GMC concept car that will be unveiled later in 2025 and was created in collaboration with the GMC design team in Detroit was given during the studio opening.

The goal of GM's design teams' frequent conceptual design studies is to promote creativity, ideation, and teamwork within the organization. As GM expands its Cadillac electric car business in Europe and gets ready to introduce Corvette sales throughout the UK and mainland Europe, the UK studio's inauguration further demonstrates the company's dedication to the continent.

An essential component of GM's worldwide design footprint, the UK design studio brings new talent and innovative viewpoints to the company's global network while offering insightful information on European consumer and cultural trends. GM has design studios in Detroit, Los Angeles, Shanghai, and Seoul as part of its global reach.

Julian Thomson, a highly skilled automotive designer who has collaborated with some of the most well-known companies in the business, is in charge of the UK studio. More than 30 designers and creative team members work in the 24,584-square-foot Royal Leamington Spa facility, which is equipped to create clay models both digitally and physically.
