In 2025, Chery plans to introduce 19 new hybrid vehicles with enhanced worldwide offerings and cutting-edge Super Hybrid technology.
The Chinese automaker Chery has committed to introducing 19 new hybrid models worldwide this year alone as part of its goal to provide more fuel-efficient automobiles in international markets.
Chery said today at an event in China that the 19 electrified cars will not use EV powertrains, but rather have a series hybrid, PHEV and EREV motors. Added to that is the Super Hybrid technology launched last year, which functions much more like a PHEV than as a conventional hybrid powertrain.
Coming week, at the Shanghai Motor Show, there will be these future hybrid vehicles, including electric performances of Tiggo and SUVs. Presently, CarExpert offers hundreds of new auto deals. Chery declared before this time that the Tiggo 7 and 8 Pro would be among the first vehicles to use PHEV power.
A 1.5-liter Chinese-specific turbocharged gasoline engine connected to a DHT powers both models. Its 19.27kWh ternary lithium battery also gives it an 80km driving range. It can induce up to 240kW of power and 545Nm of torque due to its electric motor and integrated motor regulator.
It is anticipated that the new vehicles, which will be presented in Shanghai, would have an even more potent drivetrain. Chery has pledged to introduce more hybrid vehicles worldwide as EV sales decline and technology shifts toward gasoline-electric vehicles.
