Adobe is improving the speed, intelligence, and efficiency of video editing. These new capabilities, which include easier color management, 3D lighting tools, AI-powered search, and Generative Extend, will help professionals save time and improve creativity.
Adobe is adding strong AI-powered capabilities to Premiere Pro 25.2 and After Effects 25.2, its video editing and motion graphics programs. Adobe is now incorporating AI into its video products to improve efficiency, automation, and creative freedom after making significant strides in AI for image editing with Firefly.
Generative Extend, one of Premiere Pro's most significant AI-powered features, enables users to lengthen clips in 4K quality or add missing frames. When a video clip is too brief or transitions need to be smoothly stretched, this tool will be useful. Although this function is free for now, Adobe intends to charge for it in the upcoming months.
Additionally, Adobe is launching Media Intelligence, an AI-powered search engine that lets editors quickly locate clips by entering a query. The program provides accurate search results by analyzing spoken words, locations, objects, and camera angles in the video. Crucially, Adobe guarantees that this function will only work locally on the user's device, thus no video will be utilized to train AI models.
Premiere Color Management, which is also included in Premiere Pro 25.2, makes color grading easier by automatically normalizing log and raw video to SDR or HDR without the need for LUTs. Professional color grading will be simpler and more effective with this tool's improved dynamic range and color accuracy. Six additional presets, including Wide Gamut choices for high-fidelity color representation, are also available to editors.
