SAP cloud ERP revenue increased 33%

Cloud product revenue increased during the second quarter. The German corporation reported 4.15 billion euros in overall cloud revenue, with 3.41 billion euros coming from cloud-based enterprise resource planning.

SAP classifies cloud ERP as its leading innovator for the upcoming years. These consist of the Business Technology Platform, S/4HANA Cloud, and RISE with SAP. Based on the quarterly numbers, it appears that clients who are still using legacy software are making the shift to more current ERP with the support of these products.

For instance, overall income increased to 8.29 billion euros from 7.55 billion euros over the same time last year. Cloud ERP contributed significantly to the growth, increasing by 33% from 2.56 billion euros to 3.41 billion euros. IaaS, extensions, and other software items account for all other revenue.

Similar values were generally assumed by financial analysts. The stock market, however, responded favorably to the quarterly results, rewarding them with a nearly 5% increase in share value. According to CEO Christian Klein, the company's cloud growth momentum persisted in Q2 and that Business AI made numerous agreements possible. He went on to say that because they kept up their disciplined transformation execution, they were able to raise their operational profit target for 2025.
