Over the course of the first six months, Malaysia's Cybersecurity Center of Excellence adds more internationally certified training programs to the cybersecurity curriculum in an effort to help ASEAN's cyber professionals advance their skills.
In order to provide its internationally renowned cybersecurity Malaysia training and certifications, BlackBerry Limited has announced a new collaboration with The International Information System Security Certification Consortium (ISC2), the top nonprofit member organization for cybersecurity professionals worldwide. Now available as part of the BlackBerry Cybersecurity Curriculum at the top-tier Cybersecurity Center of Excellence (CCoE) facility in Cyberjaya, the courses help the Malaysian government's continuous efforts to increase digital skills, capacity, and cyber resilience. For the inaugural ISC2 classes later this month, registration is now available.
The need for highly skilled cybersecurity Malaysia specialists is growing along with Malaysia's digital transformation, and danger surfaces. In order to enable cyber professionals at the Malaysia CCoE to upskill and improve their capabilities to strengthen defenses against constantly changing cyber threats, BlackBerry has partnered with ISC2 to expand the selection of internationally-certified courses available to them. ISC2's highly sought-after Certified Cloud Security Professionals (CCSP), Certified Information Systems Security Professionals (CISSP), and Certified in Cybersecurity (CC) are among the courses offered.
"As Malaysia gets ready for the 'Year of Skills' in 2025, BlackBerry is still committed to working with government and industry to help educate, upskill, and grow the nation's cyberworkforce," said Han Ther Lee, Director of Education and Training, Cybersecurity Center of Excellence, BlackBerry. They are pleased to collaborate with ISC2, another prestigious training organization, to enhance the Cybersecurity Center of Excellence's curriculum and provide more access to internationally recognized certifications for cyber professionals in Malaysia and the surrounding area.
In order to improve national and regional cybersecurity capabilities—particularly as the region advances its digital transformation objectives—the first courses made available through the partnership will concentrate on critical cybersecurity disciplines like security operations, risk management, and cloud security. For all of its programs, ISC2 will include thorough training materials, course materials, licenses, and continuing support.
