IBM Expands Enterprise GenAI Solutions

IBM is allowing its partner ecosystem to have access to a portion of the enterprise GenAI technologies.

Global technology company IBM has now recognized sales and finance as essential domains for creating and implementing corporate GenAI solutions, a top executive told reporters, following the introduction of GenAI solutions to HR and IT.

The long-standing hardware company said it sees a lot of opportunity in the corporate GenAI market and has identified multiple levers to develop this product globally. It recently moved its attention to software and artificial intelligence (AI) consulting.

Ritika Gunnar, general manager of IBM's Data & AI product management, claims that GenAI has the greatest influence on businesses since it promotes efficiency and productivity gains. Additionally, they assist businesses by developing domain-specific solutions for supply chain, procurement, IT, HR, and support.

IBM has seen a high uptake of business GenAI solutions among its clients in three critical areas: software development, HR, and customer care.

IBM assists in automating backend procedures for customer care, which speeds up client interaction and inquiry resolution. GenAI-driven automation has improved workforce management processes like employee separation, question resolution, and onboarding. With its Watsonx Code Assistant solution, IBM has now introduced GenAI productivity aides for enterprise developers. Starting with its own operations, IBM now intends to expand these GenAI solutions to the finance and sales departments.

Gunnar stated in the continuous that they consider themselves to be the first adopters, or customer zero. They grow more proficient and discover new use cases, which contributes to the emergence of new markets and roles.
