HCLTech IBM collaborate for GenAI centre

To create a Center of Excellence for Generative AI, IBM and HCL Technologies have partnered. 10,000 HCLTech engineers and architects will receive training from IBM on AI technologies as part of the partnership, with an emphasis on "watsonx."

Watsonx from IBM is a data and artificial intelligence (AI) platform designed with businesses in mind.

HCLTech's AI and cloud native laboratories in Noida, London, New Jersey, and Santa Clara will provide access to the center.

It will help businesses update their old systems, create IT service management scenarios, simplify the code, improve Watsonx platform skills, and encourage ongoing innovation.

Alan Flower, EVP, Global Head of AI and Cloud Native Labs at HCLTech, said that they can offer very unique services by using the latest IBM technology. This expansion of their cooperation with IBM will allow them to explore the possibilities of AI more quickly. In order to facilitate code modernization, HCLTech intends to integrate Watsonx into HCLTech AI Force using GenAI-powered solutions.

The center will provide clients with training and educational resources on a range of artificial intelligence technologies, including Watsonx.ai. This will improve their capabilities and give them a starting point for use case development.

Stephen Smith, General Manager of Service Partners at IBM Ecosystem, stated that the goal of this Center of Excellence is to help their clients quickly explore, test, and create customized AI solutions with Watsonx to address their specific business challenges.
