The goal of WhatsApp's Chat Lock feature expansion is to enable syncing between all connected devices. Thus, if you lock a conversation on the mobile app, it will stay locked on the Windows and online versions of WhatsApp.
Currently, it doesn't operate that way because the other platforms are handled differently.
After examining the most recent Android beta, WABetaInfo found this upcoming update. They came upon a window with a text message indicating that WhatsApp used the occasion to shut down the chat room on a connected device as well. And you'll have to "use your secret code" to get it open again. They're talking about a newly released security feature that was added to the platform in November, which is the "secret code." The article continues by saying that your code will be required to access a list that contains all of the restricted chats.
We are really pleased with two things that Chat Lock's expansion achieves. One benefit is that using WhatsApp is now more convenient because you don't have to relock conversations on Windows. It makes the procedure simpler. Additionally, it guarantees that all of your devices will be consistently protected. As WABetaInfo notes, this update will standardize privacy management across the many versions of the platform.
The feature is still being worked on. It is inoperable in every way. However, based on the image that was posted, it looks like beta testers will soon be receiving the upgraded Chat Lock.
