Hubert J.P. Jolly has been named as JPMorgan Chase's newest head of payments solutions for its commercial banking division, according to a press release on Tuesday.

Hubert J.P. Jolly has been appointed as JPMorgan Chase's latest head of payments solutions for its commercial banking division.

In a press statement sent to PYMNTS via email on Tuesday, J.P. Morgan Payments announced that Jolly is co-head of global corporate and ecommerce sales.

According to the press announcement, Jolly's new position will involve assisting in the delivery of JPMorgan Chase Commercial Banking's account, liquidity, and payment solutions to clients.

Jolly was in charge of Treasury Services for Bank of America's commercial bank prior to joining JPMorgan Chase in 2020. In his new position, he will answer to Takis Georgakopoulos, global head of payments, and report to Doug Petno, CEO of Commercial Banking.

In a joint statement, Petno and Georgakopoulos expressed their excitement for the prospects that lie ahead and their eagerness to keep building momentum under J.P.'s direction.

Sam Yen, chief innovation officer for Commercial Banking at JPMorgan Chase, told PYMNTS in an interview published in November 2022 that commercial banking is poised to reshape commercial payments and make them more user-friendly by assisting businesses of all sizes in scaling more easily by strengthening their ties to the connected economy.

According to PYMNTS Intelligence, corporate banking clients are growing pickier about the cutting-edge digital tools and assistance they receive from their financial institutions.
