Reliance Jio leads TRAI’s February 2026 network performance tests in Jammu, topping download and upload speeds, latency, and voice quality across key benchmarks.
Reliance Jio won the network performance evaluation carried out by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) in Jammu, according to reports from March 2026. The Independent Drive Test (IDT) showed that Jio performed better than other providers in terms of call quality, upload speeds, and download speeds.
Emerging as the best performance in the most recent IDT across important voice and data parameters, the test included to six hotspot locations, a 3.5 km walk test, and inter-operator calling testing at one location, which took place between February 2 and 5, spanned a distance of 178.2 kilometers within Jammu city. The 620.5 kilometer Delhi-Jammu Highway was also included in the assessment.
Following that, Jio was named number one in the TRAI report for call quality, latency, and data speeds. With a download speed of 296 Mbps and an upload speed of 30.50 Mbps, the operator ensured seamless operation for real-time applications such as video conferencing and streaming. The test covered several areas, including Gandhi Nagar, Shastri Nagar, Narwal, and Raipur Domana, as well as critical locations such as the Jammu Bus Stand and Railway Station.
Additionally, Jio recorded a Mean Opinion Score (MOS) of 4.43, which indicates outstanding speech quality, a latency of 22.84 milliseconds, and a Call Setup Success Rate of 99.12 percent. To further highlight its network performance in the area, the company recorded the lowest Call Setup Time (0.66 seconds) and Call Mute Rate (0.53 seconds) among operators.
Jio’s top ranking in TRAI’s Jammu evaluation highlights its clear edge in network reliability, speed, and call quality. With strong performance across both urban areas and highway routes, the results strengthen Jio’s position as a leading telecom provider capable of delivering consistent, high-quality connectivity for modern digital needs.
