Honeywell partners with Rhombus to deliver AI-powered cloud video and access control solutions for businesses worldwide.
Honeywell Global engineering giant announced partnership with Rhombus, a leader in cloud-based video management, to add new AI-powered video solutions to its portfolio of cloud-connected security and access solutions. The partnership is a part of Honeywell's continuous effort to transform how consumers manage building security, which started in 2024 with the purchase of LenelS2.
Cloud-based security and cloud video are becoming more and more popular among businesses. Through 2029, cloud video solutions are expected to grow at the quickest rate in the security market, with annual growth rates exceeding 20%. Through the collaboration, Honeywell and Rhombus will provide easy-to-deploy, scale, and manage cloud solutions that combine access control and video management.
According to Billal Hammoud, President and CEO of Honeywell Building Automation, this strategic agreement brings together the strength of Honeywell's access solutions portfolio, subject experience, and worldwide reach with current cloud video capabilities and AI advancements. They also stated that together, they will provide an integrated, cloud-based solution that innovates while assuring reliability and system resilience.
Honeywell will offer Rhombus solutions through its network of system integrators and channel partners through integration and a reseller agreement. Additionally, the companies will collaborate on more thorough integrations that would directly include Rhombus' AI insights into Honeywell's access control systems. Customers will be able to obtain insights from video data beyond conventional surveillance using Rhombus' AI-powered platform, turning video systems into a source of operational intelligence.
Before being introduced in other areas, Rhombus products will first be sold in North America through Honeywell. And the solution is intended for a wide range of commercial settings, including retail chains, fitness centers, schools, and other distributed locations. The new product from Honeywell and Rhombus is ideally positioned to assist thousands of commercial and enterprise operations worldwide in lowering risk while supporting a fast-paced, economical cloud journey.
