Dainik Bhaskar Donates 8.5 Lakh

Dainik Bhaskar Group’s initiative Vastradaan ’26 increased corporate social responsibility and community engagement with their donation.

Dainik Bhaskar Group has reaffirmed its dedication to inclusive and community-led social development by effectively distributing more than 8.5 lakh winter clothing items to underprivileged communities across several Indian cities as part of its corporate social responsibility program Vastradaan '26.

The program, which was carried out in cooperation with housing societies and educational institutions, encouraged individuals to give usable and acceptable winter clothing. In order to assist widespread community involvement, 1,217 donation drop stations were placed around various places.

Pawan Pandey, Vice President for Brand & Product Marketing of Dainik Bhaskar Group, commented on the initiative that by integrating donation points within schools and housing societies, they streamlined the donation process and encouraged wider participation. This community-centric approach has enabled Vastradaan to scale significantly and deliver greater social impact.

Vastradaan '26 was sponsored by a strong digital appeal campaign that gained attention. The campaign video had 29.5 million views, as well as considerable organic distribution through WhatsApp's community and parent networks, increasing the initiative's reach and impact.

All donated clothing went through a proper quality process, which included screening, expert washing, ironing, and packaging, to guarantee dignity and usability for beneficiaries. In comparison to the previous year, when about 2 lakh clothing were distributed, the 2026 edition of the initiative saw a fourfold rise in increasing social responsibility.

Vastradaan '26 emphasizes Dainik Bhaskar Group's significance on community participation, responsible citizenship, and scalable social impact with its extended reach and steady expansion, meaningfully improving the well-being of vulnerable populations during the winter.
