Iboss AI SSPM Secures SaaS Apps

Iboss’s new AI-powered SSPM continuously monitors SaaS apps, detecting misconfigurations, risky permissions, and data exposure without extra agents.

SSPM, an AI-based SaaS Security Posture Management feature integrated into the iboss Zero Trust SASE platform, was unveiled today by iboss, a leading cloud security platform for Zero Trust Secure Access Service Edge (SASE). To continuously monitor configurations, permissions, and data exposure, SSPM connects directly to SaaS apps via an API. This gives enterprises a clear, actionable view of SaaS risk that was previously challenging to detect or manage at scale with legacy solutions and procedures.

Sensitive data is increasingly located inside apps like productivity suites, file sharing tools and CRM systems rather than traditional data centers as productivity, networking, and business processes move to SaaS platforms. Thousands of configuration options, disjointed admin interfaces and ongoing user, group and external sharing changes are what security and IT professionals are left with. Because manual reviews, scripts and periodic audits are unable to keep up, misconfigurations, excessive permissions and dangerous external access can quietly accumulate and raise the risk of account takeover, data leakage and compliance findings, all of which AI is designed to constantly surface.

Iboss's SSPM aims to close this gap by providing continuous, AI-powered SaaS posture analysis using the same cloud platform that already provides private access and secure internet. Without installing new agents or equipment, clients can connect to SaaS apps like Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Box, Salesforce and others in some easy steps using the iboss Integration Marketplace. Once connected, iboss employs AI analysis with expert understanding of SaaS environments, typical misconfigurations and dangerous usage patterns to automatically identify, prioritize and clarify exposure drivers. It also uses native APIs to continuously pull configuration and security-related metadata.

The SSPM Insight Overview dashboard uses AI-powered analysis to compile results from all linked applications into a single posture score. It then offers a clear clarification of the factors that influence that score, along with prioritized recommendations and supporting data. Based on AI informed prioritizing, security and IT teams can understand where risk is concentrated, which issues have the biggest impact and which actions will best improve posture.
