Why Arijit Singh Steps Back

Producer Bhushan Kumar denies forcing Arijit Singh on Border 2, as singer says quitting playback comes from personal, creative evolution.

Recent rumors about Arijit Singh's departure from playback singing have been addressed by producer Bhushan Kumar. In particular, he refuted claims that the singer was coerced into recording the song Ghar Kab Aaoge for the next film Border 2.

The allegations came to light following Singh's announcement that he would no longer be performing playback singing. Social media users swiftly linked his retirement to his participation in the updated version of the recognizable patriotic song that was first heard in the 1997 film Border. In an interview Bhushan Kumar stated, "Please call and ask Arijit; it's all untrue."

Arijit Singh, Sonu Nigam, Roop Kumar Rathore, Vishal Mishra and Diljit Dosanjh are among the performers featured in the latest edition of Sandese Aate Hai, Ghar Kab Aaoge. Singh, 38, recently clarified his decision to stop playback singing, stating that it wasn't brought on by a single incident.

There isn't just one reason for this; there are several factors, and he has been contemplating this for quite some time, Singh wrote in a message uploaded on X. In the end, he summoned the required bravery. Singh said that rather than being a reaction to any specific incident, his leaving was a long process.

As Singh wraps up his career, he has assured his audience of his ongoing professional obligations and that he’ll complete the remaining obligations. Therefore, we can expect some music to be released this year. To clarify: he will continue to create new music.

Arijit Singh was clear in his comments about his creativity and desire for change as two major aspects of his desire to create new music. Singh said he loses interest in things relatively quickly as he continues to develop and alter arrangements of his songs based on how he often performs them live, as well as feeling that he has lost excitement with his current music and that he will have to explore new styles of music to be successful.
