Nothing Launches Exclusive Phone 3a Community Edition: Just 1,000 Units Worldwide

Co-designed by worldwide creators, the limited-edition smartphone debuts in Bengaluru on December 13 with advance specs and a ₹28,999 price tag.

The Phone 3a Community Edition smartphone which was co-designed by creators from hardware design to unique lock screen elements, packaging and marketing launched on December 9. Nothing will manufacture just a thousand Phone 3a Community Edition smartphones worldwide

For this phone the London-based tech startup stated to have received over 700 submissions in the areas of design, software, accessories and visual storytelling. Four winners were chosen: Sushruta Sarkar (marketing campaign), Jad Zock (lock screen clock and wallpaper design), Ambrogio Tacconi and Louis Aymond (accessory) and Emre Kayganacl (hardware design).

To help creators advance their work the business also provided a one thousand pound prize for each category. The 6.77 inch flexible AMOLED display of the Phone 3a Community Edition features a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a maximum brightness of 3,000 nits. Nothing used the Phone 3a Community Edition's 5,000 mAh battery which is compatible with 33W charging. The box does not include the charger.

A Snapdragon 7s Generation 3 CPU with 12 GB of storage and 256 GB of storage powers the Phone 3a Community Edition. It comes already installed with Nothing OS 3.5 which is based on Android 15. The Nothing Phone 3a Community Edition has a 50 megapixel primary camera, an 8 MP ultrawide lens and a 50 MP telephoto lens. For taking selfies it features a 32 MP front lens. The Nothing Phone 3a Community Edition will only be available at a unique drop event in Bengaluru on December 13 and retail for 28,999 rupees.
