Videodb Acquires Devzery

VideoDB purchases Devzery to increase AI-based API testing and grow its video infrastructure capabilities in the US market.

San Francisco-based video infrastructure company VideoDB has purchased Chennai-based startup Devzery, which is building a software testing platform. The contract value was not revealed.

Founded in 2021, Devzery builds and runs test cases for application programming interfaces (APIs) and has created an AI agent for API testing. Upekkha, an AI-based SaaS fund and accelerator, provided $125,000 to the effort. The founders of Devzery will join the VideoDB team as part of the transition, and after the acquisition, the company's product line will continue to function and help to advance its expansion into the US market.

According to Hemnaa Subburaj, co-founder of Devzery, the company’s focus on codeless, AI-based testing pairs naturally with VideoDB's mission to make video customizable and searchable in real time. As well, Ashutosh Trivedi, co-founder of Video, stated their testing engine makes the platform more robust and gives their customers the confidence to ship faster, support advanced use cases, and bring new categories of automation to the VideoDB network.

VideoDB aims to provide developers with enterprise-ready infrastructure for creating video-based products through Devzery's integration. With its 2023 launch, VideoDB is developing the video as a data stack for the agentic web. Teams can use the platform to demand live feeds, automatically classify material, and build products based on video processes.
