Razorpay Launches ‘CardSync’ with CRED and Visa to Simplify Card Payments

Razorpay’s new CardSync lets users pay instantly with saved CRED cards on any Razorpay site, boosting security and convenience.

“CardSync,” a new stored card tokenization tool created in collaboration with CRED and Visa, has been made available by Razorpay. With Razorpay's payment gateway, consumers may access their saved CRED credit cards at checkout on any merchant website, without having to enter their card information or CVV again.

CardSync, which is based on Visa's tokenization technology, attempts to make online payments less complicated. It enables cross-platform one-tap purchases by allowing users to attach their current CRED cards to Razorpay Checkout. One of the primary causes of payment drop-offs is addressed by the solution: users not having their card information on hand or canceling the transaction because of security concerns.

Razorpay reports that OTP timeouts, expired cards, and inaccurate information account for about 40% of unsuccessful card payments. By eliminating the requirement for human input, CardSync seeks to address this issue. Once an individual links their card with CardSync, they may complete future transactions on checkout that accepts Razorpay without having to enter their information again, which increases efficiency and success rates.

The system asks new users to sync their CRED card when they pay on a merchant website that accepts Razorpay. The card can be used for subsequent checkouts throughout the Razorpay ecosystem when it has been authenticated and tokenized. Returning users don't need to enter card details or OTPs again because they can utilize the saved card to make payments in a single step.
