Qatar Chamber Hosts Regional Training on ISO 26000 Social Responsibility Auditing

Business Fortune: ISO 26000 Audit Training Qatar

Qatar Chamber held a 4-day ISO 26000 Lead Auditor training to improve social responsibility skills for participants from Qatar and the Arab region.

In a recent training session on corporate social responsibility, the Qatar Chamber focused on the "Certified ISO 26000 Lead Auditor on Social Responsibility Management System." The course lasted four days. With the assistance of the Regional Network for Consultancy, the Qatar Chamber organized the training. The 17 participants in the programme belonged to different Qatari organizations, which show that social responsibility is increasing in the Middle East.

Participants in the intense four-day program gained knowledge of the fundamental ideas presented in ISO 26000 guidelines as well as contemporary social responsibility trends. Everything from basic CSR principles to the practical abilities required for auditing these systems inside businesses was addressed in the course. In order to be ready to lead social responsibility evaluations in their own companies, participants also had practical experience in organizing and overseeing audit procedures.

Qatar Chamber's Training and Development chief, Fatima Issa Al-Kuwari, emphasized the importance of this kind of education in developing local knowledge that satisfies global standards. She stated that Qatar Chamber is still dedicated to offering specialized training that meets actual market demands and increases efficiency in government, business, and nonprofit sectors. Al-Kuwari also commended the collaboration with the Regional Consulting Network, calling it a beneficial partnership that advances the objectives of participating institutions in the area and improves the caliber of training programs.
