Abha Maheshwari Resigns as CEO of ALLEN Digital After Leading Two Years

After two years of leading EdTech innovation and AI-driven growth, Abha Maheshwari resigns as CEO of ALLEN Digital.

After serving in the position for more than two years, Abha Maheshwari, the CEO of ALLEN Digital, has resigned. In a LinkedIn post, she stated that she is ending an amazing chapter full of influence, learning, and growth by moving on from Allen. She also mentioned that she is taking a brief break before beginning her next chapter.

In May 2023, former Meta executive Maheshwari was named the first CEO of ALLEN's digital division, a test-prep institute. She joined ALLEN when the company established its digital business in 2022 and obtained $600 million in financing from Bodhi Tree Systems, following growing interest in AI.

She worked on partnerships and products for ten years at Facebook (now Meta) and was instrumental in the creation and growth of Instagram Shopping. She is a seasoned product developer. With a solid team behind her, she applied this experience to ALLEN Digital.

They were a tiny team of 15 to 20 people working out of a WeWork when she initially arrived, determined to create something significant, ambitious, and scrappy. She wrote in her post those two years later, she left behind a vibrant office full of driven individuals, audacious ideas, and the same strong sense of purpose, now supported by a much larger and more capable workforce.

The business has been incorporating technology, such as AI and ML, into students' educational journeys while building on ALLEN's pedagogy and academic competence. Its redesigned website, simplified mobile app, and other back-end technological improvements created by Maheshwari's team all demonstrate this.
