With RISE with SAP, Thailand's AIS makes a significant leap in digital transformation, optimizing processes and enabling AI-driven agility.

A major milestone in its enterprise-wide transformation journey has been reached with the successful launch of a strategic transformation program powered by RISE with SAP, a comprehensive business transformation offering that includes an AI-powered cloud ERP solution, infrastructure, and services, by Advanced Info Service Public Company Limited (AIS), Thailand's leading communications and digital service provider, at its flagship event, SAP NOW AI Tour Southeast Asia.

A significant milestone in AIS's plan to upgrade its digital core, streamline processes, and promote long-term business agility, this deployment went live in June 2025. By integrating RISE with SAP, AIS was able to replace dispersed systems with a centralized platform designed to maximize efficiency and establish the groundwork for future expansion and innovation.

The goal of AIS's transformation is to increase support for vital operations, including finance, spend management, material management, wholesale, and retail, while also streamlining its core operations and fortifying governance. With potential advantages including increased financial correctness, procurement transparency, operational efficiency, and group-wide reporting and productivity, the effort has made encouraging strides.

According to Chief Audit Officer (former Chief Financial Officer) Montri Khongkruephan, this initiative is a significant step for AIS, establishing the digital framework for their operations, innovation, and expansion. In order to align with business objectives and expedite deployment, AIS used a Fit-to-Standard strategy utilizing SAP Cloud ALM and Best Practices as part of its RISE with SAP journey. SAP Fiori and SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) improved connectivity and offered an intuitive user experience. The managing director of SAP Indochina, Kulwipa Piyawattanametha, took delight in helping AIS with its digital transformation. By utilizing AI and advanced analytics to make well-informed decisions, RISE with SAP enables AIS to enhance operational management, optimize its IT infrastructure, and integrate with acquisitions such as 3BB.
