Claude Smadja highlights India's data strengths at IGIC 2025, calling it a key moment for the country to lead in global tech innovation.
MD Claude Smadja, Former World Economic Forum, said that India is at a turning point, set to accelerate technological innovation and possibly produce the next major surprise in the world due to its unique advantage for big data and data.
India is positioned to become a worldwide leader in AI and deep tech domains that primarily depend on access to large datasets because of its unmatched capability for data gathering and utilization, according to Smadja.
India has reached a turning point. India needs to make a significant effort to speed up the pace of technological innovation, as it is currently evolving both domestically and globally. According to Smadja, who spoke at IGIC 2025 here, India may be the next major surprise in the information and big data field because of its clear better edge in data collection and potential usage.
Comparing India to major global economies, Smadja, Chairman of Smadja & Smadja Strategic Advisory, said the US is losing ground and its prominence is being undermined in every way. However, he pointed out that China has surmounted its structural obstacles to gain greater strength.
In light of this, Smadja declared that India's time had come. Smadja, who has been involved with India for 53 years, characterized the country's journey as a roller coaster of disappointments and hope, frequently diverted from economic progress by diversions. He asserted that India needs to take advantage of this crucial moment to quicken its technical advancement and overtake world leaders.
