The South Korean gaming behemoth initially revealed KIGI in October 2023. It only supports the creation of video games.
With the announcement of its second cohort, which consists of six businesses, South Korean gaming behemoth Krafton has expanded the geographical reach of its incubator dedicated to India, Krafton India Gaming Incubator (KIGI), and added key partners. The upcoming cohort includes teams from up-and-coming gaming hotspots like Kolkata, Mumbai, and Madurai, among others, according to Anuj Sahani, Head of the Krafton India Incubator Program, who spoke to Moneycontrol.
One of the chosen companies is Kleanup Games, an independent firm headquartered in Madurai that is developing Chromadi, a vintage arcade shoot-'em-up video game with a focus on high-score action and color-mixing dynamics. The game, directed by Jaiwanth Shanmugam, is scheduled for release in 2026. It is anticipated to be accessible on PC (Steam Deck), iOS, and Android.
Inspectorium, a steampunk-inspired hidden object detective game set in Victorian-era Kolkata, is being developed by Advaita Interactive. The serial detective game, which was founded by Judhajit Sarkar, will include immersive puzzle-solving and interrogations driven by artificial intelligence. Between 2025 and 2026, it is anticipated to be made available on PC, mobile and virtual reality (VR) platforms.
Cricket Rivals, a fast-paced, real-time multiplayer smartphone game being developed by Bengaluru-based Smash Head Studio, reimagines the essence of cricket through brief, competitive bouts. Co-founded by Pawan Sandhar and Surendran Ramachandran, the firm has created action shooter games including Gravity Shooter.
