Saudi Arabia Hosts Inaugural Global CSR Forum for Sustainability

Under the theme "From Commitment to Impact," the inaugural Global Corporate Social Responsibility Forum was launched in Riyadh on Monday by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development.

According to Saudi news agency Arab News, Ahmad Al Rajhi, minister of human resources and social development, emphasized the forum's objective to act as a worldwide forum for discussions on social responsibility, promoting knowledge exchange and boosting private sector involvement in sustainable development in order to establish a global model for public-private partnerships.

Al Rajhi spoke on the development of social responsibility, emphasizing the circular economy, sustainable digitization, creative activities, and technological integration. Along with highlighting the expanding role of the private sector in enhancing the globe, he underlined the need of developing people and communities in accordance with their surroundings.

A social responsibility committee, a national transparency platform, Social Responsibility Day on March 23, and a national social responsibility index are some of the instruments Saudi Arabia have put in place to encourage corporate social responsibility.

Leaders from a range of industries come together at the event to discuss prospects for expansion, encourage creativity, build alliances, and improve global cooperation in social responsibility.
