The L-Suite Acquires Legal E-Learning Platform Luminate+

The L Suite, an online network for chief legal officers and general counsel, said on Thursday that it had acquired Luminate+, a platform for e-learning legal material.

The e-learning platform Luminate+, which compiles continuing legal education materials from prominent law firms into a streaming service akin to Netflix, was purchased by The L Suite, a community for in-house legal professionals.

The L Suite stated that by giving its members, mostly general counsel and chief legal officers, access to top-notch CLE content, the purchase will allow it to meet a long-standing need for practical learning designed for contemporary in-house counsel. Through the agreement, Luminate+'s technology platform and content relationships with legal firms including Davis Polk, Orrick, Goodwin, Baker McKenzie, and White & Case are made available to The L Suite's 4,000-member community.

By managing all the technical criteria for CLE certification and providing on-demand access to the recordings, the Luminate+ platform enables law firms to prolong the shelf life of their webinar material.

L Suite members will have free access to Luminate+ via their member portal as a result of the purchase.
