With great pleasure, IIT Bombay announces the opening of the e-Postgraduate Diploma in E-mobility.
The start date of this 18-month program with an industry focus is set for March 2025. The program, which was created and taught by IIT Bombay professors with Great Learning as the EdTech partner, will end with an on-campus graduation ceremony that would provide alumni status. "The e-Postgraduate Diploma in E-mobility by the C1973 EV Power Train Lab marks a key milestone in IIT Bombay's commitment to advanced education," said Prof. Shireesh Kedare, Director of IIT Bombay, at the inaugural event. Their industry partnerships accelerate their objective to promote experiential learning in domains driven by innovation by bridging the gap between academic learning and practical application.
With an emphasis on both conceptual and practical learning through live, interactive sessions, the curriculum covers important topics in electric vehicle design, battery technology, electrical drives, power electronics, and more. It is specifically designed for professionals in their early and mid-career stages, scientists and R&D professionals, entrepreneurs, academicians, and recent graduates. The electric car market in India and throughout the world is developing at an impressive rate because to government regulations and rising environmental consciousness, according to Mohan Lakhamraju, founder and CEO of Great Learning, who spoke about the launch. As a result, there is a significant need for qualified experts in both technical and operational fields. This program is an amazing chance for anybody hoping to pursue a career in this field.
Using IIT Bombay's academic resources for seamless learning, participants will have access to sample projects such as vehicle sub-system modeling, embedded controllers for electric motors, simulation of power electronic systems, battery modeling techniques and degradation phenomena, modeling and control of EV chargers, and impact assessment of EVs on grid infrastructure. To be eligible, one must Candidates must have a four-year B.Sc. or BS degree in a relevant engineering or technology field, or a B.E. or B.Tech degree.
