Stray Kids chart record

This is the K-pop group's sixth album to debut at the top of the charts.

According to the journal, the K-pop group Stray Kids became the first artist to debut at Number One with their first six charting albums when their latest album, Hop, topped the Billboard 200 albums list on December 28.

Rock-Star and 5-Star from 2023 and Oddinary and Maxident from 2022 were the K-pop group's prior top hits. They also had ATE at the top of the rankings earlier this year. With each of their first five entries debuting at Number One, they were previously tied with the late DMX, but their chart-setting record surpasses him.

According to Luminate, Hop tops the chart with 187,000 equivalent album units generated, of which 176,000 are from album sales, 10,000 are from streaming equivalent albums, and 1,000 are from track equivalent albums.

The albums that have all previously reached Number One round out the Top Five: Michael Bublé's Christmas jumps from Number Seven to Number Five with 68,000 units sold, Taylor Swift's The Tortured Poets Department drops from Number One to Number Three with 85,000 units sold, Sabrina Carpenter's Short n' Sweet moves up a spot from last week to Number Four with 69,000 units, and Kendrick Lamar's GNX remains at Number Two with 100,000 album units.

With 65,000 copies, the recently released Bing Crosby collection Ultimate Christmas leaps from Number Eight to Number Six, highlighting the approaching holiday. In the meanwhile, Mariah Carey's timeless hit, Merry Christmas, closes out the Top 10 at number 10 after rising from number 14 with 56,000 equivalent album units sold.
