Following a BBC internal investigation into complaints regarding his behavior on the show, Giovanni Pernice won the Italian version of Strictly Come Dancing.

Pernice, a professional dancer, stated that winning Ballando Con Le Stelle with his partner, Bianca Guaccero, who is also his fiancée, was a dream come true. He also claimed that he is back after a challenging year.

In September, the BBC dismissed him of charges of physical violence but upheld complaints of verbal abuse and harassment filed against him by his 2023 partner, Amanda Abbington.

The fact that Pernice will not be appearing on this year's Strictly was revealed in June. After performing dances including the Charleston and the Argentine Tango, Pernice and Guaccero, an actress and singer, won the 19th season of Ballando Con Le Stelle.

Recently, the two had affirmed that they were a love couple. Pernice, who was born in Italy, thanked UK supporters for their support in a number of Instagram postings on his victory.

In September, Amanda Abbington, Pernice's ex-partner, received an apology from the BBC. Since raising the allegations, Abbington, who portrayed Mary Morstan in Sherlock, has stated that she felt justified and that she had no regrets.

Pernice responded to the BBC's findings by saying he was glad that accusations that he was aggressive and threatening were proven false. In a TV interview in October, he stated that he was a stern instructor but not a bully, acknowledging that the expectation to perform flawlessly on Saturday night is a typical source of irritation for both candidates and pros.

On Sunday, Pernice said on Instagram: "We succeeded! THE CHAMPIONS ARE US! following a challenging year. He went on to say that it was incredible to be in the final once more while doing what he loves, and winning was a dream that he would always remember. Speaking to his close friends in the UK on Saturday, he said that since the program is all about social media likes, he and his partner could see where the votes were coming from.

According to Pernice, they only wanted to express their sincere gratitude because, in all honesty, they couldn't accomplish anything without his friends. His friends are being very kind, and they can clearly tell which votes are coming from the UK.
