iOS 18.2

Apple published the first public beta versions of iOS 18.2 and iPadOS 18.2 today, with the final versions anticipated to be released in early December.

You may now enroll in the Apple Beta Program to obtain the 18.2 beta version on your iPhone or iPad. Please be aware, though, that mistakes are inevitable with these releases.

Additional Apple AI capabilities, such as Image Playground, a specialized app for creating images from text prompts, are included in iOS 18.2. Messages, Notes, and Freeform are also connected with this.

Genmoji—"gen" for "generative AI" and "moji" for, well, you know—is another option. These may also be made using text prompts and pictures of you, your loved ones, friends, and so on.

ChatGPT has been integrated into Siri. Siri will ask for your consent before sending the request to ChatGPT if it is unable to respond to your question. For this, a ChatGPT account is not required.

Visual Intelligence is another feature of the iPhone 16 series that provides you with information about your surroundings by just opening the camera and pointing it at an object. In addition, visual intelligence can read aloud, copy, summarize, and recognize phone numbers and addresses to add to Contacts.

Localized English is currently supported by Apple AI in the UK, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa, and Ireland. Please be aware that access to picture Playground, Genmoji, and Image Wand (which turns a sketch into a picture) are on a waiting list.
